Obituary

CONCORD- Mary "Ellie" (Laws) Cordaro -Of Concord, NH and Everett, MA, passed away on October 15, 2022. She was survived by her loving husband Raymond M. Cordaro of Everett, MA; her son Michael Laws and his wife Crystal of Texas and Jillian Laws-Cordaro and son-in-law John Gonya both of Billerica, MA; six grandchildren, Mikayla, Caitlyn, Matthew, Mary, Michael, all of Texas and Gianna of Billerica, MA; and her brothers Edward Laws, Roger Laws, Kenneth Laws and his wife Sandy. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and extended family. She is predeceased by her sister Bernadette Langone. Mary was born in Chelsea Naval Hospital and quickly nicknamed "Ellie" to avoid confusion with her mother. She loved telling stories about her brother's various adventures and mischief. Eventually she met Ray, a roofer and Vietnam Veteran and they would spend the better part of the next 40 years together. Ellie and Ray raised their children in Everett, MA where she was a stay-at-home mom. She was a member of the PTO and many clubs and organizations through the years. When her youngest was in high-school Ellie took a job at Citizen's Bank in Medford where she enjoyed helping her customers and took great pride in her work. Ellie and Ray eventually retired to NH like they always dreamed and settled in Concord. She spent her later years simply caring for her family. She was always trying to help someone, and loved seeing her family gathered around the table enjoying food she'd prepared. She will be missed by all who knew her. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, October 20th at 12:30 P.M. in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the main entrance by 12:15 P.M. Assisting the family with arrangements is The Roan Family Funeral Home of Pembroke.
