EPSOM- Marilyn Anne Beuttler, 70, of Epsom, lost her fight with cancer on March 25, 2022 in her home surrounded by family.
She was born on January 19, 1952 in Carmel California, the daughter of the late Francis and Anne (Ratkovich) Beuttler. She was raised and educated in the small towns of Northern California where her story truly began.....the stories of true friendships, getting into small town trouble, and living all of life's firsts.
Marilyn worked for a grocery store deli named "Vons" in California for many years. She was awarded "Great Customer Service "year after year with customers stating "always greets me with a smile...she is patient with me and my long tedious orders....I follow Marilyn to every store cause she makes the best pasta and potato salads."
When Marilyn and Lorrie moved to Arizona, she became a prison guard, where she found joy in the shooting range and deep meaningful conversations with some of the prisoners, to whom she spent as much time as they needed listening but also gave them strong life advice.
Marilyn was truly someone that found her joy in helping others even though she loved her Bingo and slot machines. She also loved the peace and reward of her vegetable gardens.
She is survived by her daughter, Lacey Bartholomew and her husband Gene of Epsom, her partner of nearly 20 years, Lorrie Marcum of Arkansas, older sister Sheila Schlie of California, twin sister Mary Marts of Pennsylvania, niece Dawn Holmes and nephews Mike Schlie and Nick Marts. She is also survived by her grand-dog Angel and grand-cat Peanut.
There will be a private celebration of life at her home in Epsom. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Roan Family Funeral Home-Still Oaks Chapel in Epsom. To share a memory or offer a condolence, please visit www.stilloaks.com
