New Durham – Margaret R. Wheeler, 74, of New Durham, passed unexpectedly at her home on Monday, January 5, 2026. Peg, as she was known to friends and family, was born on November 10, 1951 in Laconia, she was child number 9 of 10 children; she was the daughter of the late Joseph Roy and Miriam (Staffeld) Wheeler. She was a resident of Pittsfield for many years and was very involved with horses, training, riding and showing which sparked the love of horses in her children as well. She enjoyed being out in nature and loved her dog, dagwood. Besides her mother, she was predeceased by a son, Lee Wheeler. She is survived by her children, Daniele Plourde, André Plourde and stepdaughter, Dawn Plourde and her husband Carlton Mayo; three grandchildren, Makayala, Morgan and Minnow as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 4PM-6PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home – 1217 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom.
