CENTER BARNSTEAD- Mrs. Lorraine (Berry) Gerlack, 84, of Center Barnstead, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children in the care of the Granite VNA Hospice House on March 15, 2024. Born in Barnstead, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie (Gray) Berry. She was a resident of Barnstead for over 50 years. In earlier years, she was employed at the Pittsfield Shoe Shop and later worked as a cook at the former Barnstead Country Store. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Globe Manufacturing. Lorraine was an avid reader. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry C. Gerlack and her brother and sister, Edward Kelley and Grace Nutter. Lorraine is survived by her children: Arthur Gerlack and his wife Tina of Franklin, Barbara Joy of Pittsfield and Albert Mitchell of Center Barnstead. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours.
