PEMBROKE - Lonny R. Meloon, 61, passed away at his home in Pembroke on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Born in Rochester, NH, on October 11, 1964, the son of Arnold Meloon and Dianne (Chabot) Brooks. His selfless spirit, kind heart, and warm smile will be forever remembered and deeply missed. Lonny was a true embodiment of dedication and hard work. He served for many years at the Department of Education before resuming his career in legal services where he applied his sharp intellect and unwavering commitment to justice. His professional accomplishments, however, were only outshone by his personal devotion to his family and friends. Lonny was a caring caretaker for his mother, a loving father to his son Cory, and a devoted partner of 40 years to Cathy Sullivan. He had a special relationship with his two golden retrievers, who added immeasurable joy to his life. Lonny had a shared love of Harley Davidson motorcycles like his father and brothers. Lonny's spirit of service extended beyond his immediate circle. He found great satisfaction in helping others, whether it was offering legal advice, lending a hand around the house, or enjoying time at the family camp in Maine. Lonny's influence will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Lonny was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Meloon. Members of his family include his significant other, Cathy Sullivan of Pembroke; son, Cory Meloon of Bloomingdale, MI; mother, Dianne Brooks of Pembroke and brothers, Dean Meloon (Lisa) and Toby Meloon (Debbie).
