EPSOM – Lisette Yvonne Fauteux; 84, of Epsom, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 25, 2026, with her loving husband by her side.
She was born in Colebrook on June 15, 1942; she was 3rd eldest to Alfred and Annette (Chaloux) Marquis. Growing up on a farm Lisette knew what it meant to work hard; she was a graduate from Colebrook Academy. During her time in high school, she helped to care for her ailing grandmother which brought out her love for helping the sick. She went on to earn her nursing degree from Sacred Heart of Mary’s Nursing School. Now a registered nurse, she returned to Colebrook in 1963 to help with the farm and got her first job at Coos County Hospital. She married her high school sweetheart Norman on March 20, 1965.Through the years she held jobs at both Elliot Hospital and later Concord Hospital. After her daughters were born, she worked as a school nurse for many years.
Lisette cherished her family and her time as a Mimi; she devoted much of her time to caring for her grandchildren and enriched their lives in many ways. She was a tremendous cook and shared her gift with others. She kept immaculate flower gardens both at her home in Epsom and Greenville, ME and could make a gorgeous floral arrangement with anything on hand. Lisette was an avid reader; she loved to travel, decorate her home for the holidays, going on walks and stacking wood with her husband. Lisette was a kind and gentle woman who was always smiling and happy, she loved deeply and always made sure to take care of those around her.
Besides her parents, Lisette was predeceased by two siblings, Marriette Biron and Fernand Marquis.
She is survived by her husband and soulmate of 61 years, Norman Fauteux of Epsom, daughters, Lisa Fauteux and her husband David Deane and Juliane Foley and her husband Dan; siblings, Solange Simpson and her husband Gerald, Cecile Adams and her husband Dwayne, Jackie Preve, Gisele Marquis, Martha Stavrou and her husband Mike, Diane Casey and her husband Dennis, Claire Hadley and her husband Mark, Rita Robie and her husband Carl, Roger Marquis and his wife Amy and Leo Marquis and his wife Carrie; four grandchildren, Alexandria Sacco and her fiancé, Tyler Cole, Elizabeth Sacco, Owen Foley and Amelia Foley as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
