It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lena (Bonenfant) Breton, 87, who died on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Watson Fields Assisted Living in Dover. Lena was born on July 9, 1937 in Pembroke and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Odelie (Leblanc) Bonenfant. Lena attended Pembroke schools and retired as an operator from New England Telephone Company. She enjoyed traveling with Lorenzo to various countries in the world, crocheting, gardening, movies, reading and solving crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by the love of her life: Lorenzo (Butts) Breton; and her brothers: Gaston Bonenfant and Guy Bonenfant. Lena is survived by her two children: Laurent Breton of Pembroke and Michael Breton and his wife Theresa of Rochester; her sister: Madeleine Plante and her husband Ben of Pembroke; her brother-in-law: Joseph Breton and his wife Pauline; her sister-in-law: Rita Breton; her grandchildren: Justin Breton and his wife Krystle, Jeremy Breton and his wife Dreonna, Brad Berube and his wife Kerri, Matthew Berube and his wife Sarah; her great grandchildren: Montgomery, Oliver, Clive, Fletcher, Weston, Jett, Remi, Daisy, Clover, Cameron and his wife Katie, Joshua, Max; her great-great grandchild: Ayla Grace; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service at the NH State Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen will be held in the spring. Roan Family Funeral Home in Pembroke assisted the family with arrangements.
