Obituary

PEMBROKE- Mr. Laurent "Larry" Perron, 86, of Pembroke, passed away at the Epsom Healthcare Center on February 17, 2023 after a long period of declining health. Larry was born in Concord on September 25, 1936 to the late Donat and Clothilde (Courtemanche) Perron. He was raised and educated in Pembroke and attended Pembroke Academy. Larry joined the United States Army and proudly served his country as a member of the military police, being honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 1964. On November 10, 1961 he married Ingrid R. Grohmann in Pirmasens, Germany. Prior to his retirement, Larry was employed as a deliveryman for the G. Paulsen Co. He also served on the Pembroke Fire Department for many years. Long active in community affairs, Larry took great pride in his beloved town of Pembroke throughout his life. He was an active member of the Meet Me In Suncook Committee and enjoyed sharing his cherished memorabilia at every meeting. His knowledge of town history was second to none and his collection of old photos was one to admire. He was predeceased by his brother, Fernand "Fern" Perron, and sister, Luce Ella Perron. Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Ingrid R. (Grohmann); his two children, Jacqueline (Paul) DeLorie of Bow and Ralph (Christine) Perron of New Hampton; his three granddaughters, Alexandra DeLorie, Sonya DeLorie, and Lindsey (Eddie) Colombo; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, February 27th at 12 PM in the Chapel of the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, donations in Larry's memory may be sent to Meet Me in Suncook, PO Box 1, Suncook, NH 03275, the Pembroke Town Library, 313 Pembroke St. Pembroke, NH 03275 or Breathe New Hampshire, 145 Hollis St. Unit C, Manchester, NH 03101.
