Kristen (Daisy) Rose (Labrecque) Kourafas, of Rabbit Rd., Salisbury, MA, formerly of Dawn Drive Allenstown, NH, passed away suddenly, and peacefully after a courageous battle with Dermatomyositis. She spent the last few years happy and healthy with family and friends. She left a life she was proud of and was at peace with herself. Kristen was born October 8, 1985 in Manchester, NH to Mark and Dawn (Girard) Labrecque. She spent her childhood at the family home and went to high school at Pembrook Academy. She got her cosmetology license at Continental Academie of Hair Design-Manchester and had a career that she loved as a stylist and a barber. She spent the last few years as a homemaker caring for the people and animals she adored. Kristen was the ultimate caregiver and was the most devoted wife, mother, daughter, pet parent and friend on god's green earth. She was a firecracker, bright as the sun, and no one who ever met her was left with no opinion of her. She was happiest when surrounded by her family in nature. Through her strength of character, she was able to conquer her drug addictions 7 years ago and would hope that gives hope to others struggling. She is survived by her husband: Andy Kourafas; her parents: Mark and Dawn Labrecque; her sons: CJ, Wes, Teddy and Camden; in-laws: Ben and Laura Soussan; her sister and brother-in-law: Amy and Ben Pepper; niece and nephews: Riley, Hannah and Noah Pepper; grandparents: Leo and Yvette Labrecque and Joyce Colby; best friend: Jan Addabbo; and her amazing, beautiful dogs: Deets (Deetle-Bop) and Crash Blue (Bish-Bash). She was pre-deceased by her grandparents: Donald and Henriette Girard. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd at Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St., Pembroke from 10am - 11am with a service immediately following. At Kristen's request, please limit wearing black and try to not dress "Like someone died." She wants people to be able to laugh and smile.
