Obituary

Judy Elaine (Brasley) Haseman, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Born on December 22, 1942, in Franklin, New Hampshire, Judy was a lifelong New Englander at heart before making her home in New Port Richey, Florida.

Judy dedicated much of her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. She began her career as a Nurses Aid at the New Hampshire State Hospital, where her natural compassion and dedication to helping others were evident from an early age. She later worked for RealWorld Corporation in the mailroom and at IGA in New Hampshire. After moving to Florida, she continued her work in the grocery industry at Publix, where she became known for her warm smile, friendly nature, and genuine kindness.

Judy was a caregiver at heart. She found joy and purpose in helping others, especially the elderly. While living in Chichester, New Hampshire, she regularly prepared meals and cared for an elderly neighbor named Olive. After moving to Florida, Judy continued her mission of caring for those around her, offering friendship, support, and assistance to many elderly neighbors. Even in her final days, she was helping and caring for fellow residents in her assisted living community. Her generosity, compassion, and selflessness touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Judy was preceded in death by her former husband Donald V. Brasley, her mother Doris McKenna, her brother Walter Hamel, and her beloved sister-in-law, Lorraine Hamel.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Haseman, her daughters, Donna Bell, Denise Bickford-Dumont, Darlene McQueen, and Dawn Chabot; her 10 grandchildren, and her 7 great-grandchildren.

The family invites all who knew Judy to remember her not only with sadness, but also with gratitude for the love and kindness she shared throughout her life. In honoring her memory, may we all take the time to lend a helping hand, offer a kind word, and show the same compassion and generosity that Judy so freely gave to others.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
