AUBURN - Joyce L. Canario, 93, of Auburn, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood following a period of declining health. Joyce was born on October 18, 1929 in Melrose, MA, daughter of the late Chester and Dorothy (Loring) Clarke. She enjoyed crafting, baking, watching game shows and completing crossword puzzles. Getting the title of grandmother and many years later great grandmother brought her much joy and happiness. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Canario in 2017, a sister, Jeanne Brown and a grandson, Barry Gestwicki. She is survived by her six children, Chester Mooney of Haverhill, Paula McLaughlin and her husband Bernie of Saco, ME, Lee Chase of Auburn, Gordon Mooney and his wife Terri of Billerica, MA, Raymond Mooney of Atkinson and Charlotte Gestwicki of Woburn, MA, step-daughter, Charlene Paula of Plymouth, MA, sister, Ruth Remington of Biddeford, ME, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of her life will be held at the home of Kathy and Chris Page, 176 Patten Hill Road, Candia on Sunday, October 15th at 11AM.
