Obituary

BARNSTEAD- Joseph L. Lamont, 61, of Barnstead passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at his residence.

Born on March 7, 1955 in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late David and Harriet (Roberts) Lamont.

Mr. Lamont was known for his generosity, kindness and winning personality. He was a true Patriots fan, an avid golfer and loved spending time in Florida. Most importantly he loved his family, "they were his everything."

Joseph was a practicing Attorney in Manchester as well as one of the founders of Lamont, Hanley and Associates, Inc. in Manchester where he served first as President and then as an Advisor for 26 years. Joe had worked in the credit and collection industry for more than 40 years.

Besides his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his loving brother David Lamont.

Family members include his wife and soulmate, Rita (LaLiberte) Lamont of Barnstead; son Benjamin Lamont and his wife Kelly of Barnstead; daughters Tara Lin Lamont of McHenry, IL; Melanie Feddersen and her husband Jason of Woodstock, VT and Jessica Lamont of Barnstead. He was the much loved brother of Sandy (Tom) Manning of Albany, NY and Ronald Lamont (the late Bernice) of Clifton Park, NY. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Monica Lamont of Babcock Lake, NY as well as five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Barnstead Police Department and Emergency Response Team.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, November 4th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 11:00am at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 50 Main Street in Pittsfield. Friends are asked to gather at the church on Saturday Morning. Interment will follow at New Riverside Cemetery in Alton.
