PEMBROKE - John H. Tillotson, 82, of Pembroke, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Pleasant View Nursing Home following a period of declining health. Born on May 17, 1941 in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late George and Genevieve (Holtz) Tillotson. John was educated in the local Dayton schools and went on to proudly serve his country for 6 years in the United States Navy. For the last 30 odd years John was a welcoming face, a seller of Antiques at Canoneer Antique shop in Suncook Village and someone who you could see walking every morning and every afternoon around the Village, he would always stop to say hi and wish you a good day. When John wasn't working, he enjoyed watching Ohio State Football and talking all things U.S. Navy. He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Walter, brothers, Richard Tillotson of MA and George Tillotson and his wife Linda of CA, sisters, Mary Criss and her husband Paul of WA and Ann Futrell and her husband Bill of MD, two grandchildren Samantha Dion and Laren Walter, one great granddaughter, Kaya Webb as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 3PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
