CENTER BARNSTEAD - Joel S. (Moose) Mousseau, 66, of Center Barnstead, NH passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Concord, NH on December 10, 1958, the son of the late Roland Mousseau and Ann (Smith) Hoar. Joel grew up in Pittsfield, NH and attended Pittsfield High School. He was a natural athlete and excelled in many sports, basketball being his favorite. Later in life he became an avid golfer. Joel played for many years at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord, his home away from home. Joel was a loving, kind, and generous man. People took an instant liking to him, which is shown by his amazing group of friends. He loved his family and enjoyed life to the fullest. Joel will be forever missed but never forgotten. Besides his parents, Joel was predeceased by his brothers, David and Sherman Mousseau. Members of his family include his wife of 37 years, Deborah (Bergeron) Mousseau; sons, Jordan Mousseau and his wife, Jessica Hardwick of Pittsfield and Jay Mousseau and his fiancé, Jessica Pelletier of Milford, MA; daughter, Danielle Roberts and her husband, Geoff of Pittsfield; grandchildren, Ryder, Jackson and Raelyn Mousseau and sisters, Tracy Mousseau of Newburyport, MA and Amber Bergmann and her husband, John of Londonderry, NH. Per Joel's wishes there will be no services but a celebration of his life will be planned at a future date.
