He was born on March 4, 1958, in Hartford, CT; son of the late Cyprien A. and Dorothy B. (Barnard) Cyr. Jeff was educated in the local schools and from a very young age was eager to carry on behind his grandfather and father, as a firefighter, at age 17 Jeff started in an explorer program with Bloomfield Center Fire Department, retiring as Captain after 22 years, during his time at Bloomfield, he was also working as a volunteer EMT and a Certified Fire Marshall. He joined Pembroke Fire in 2001 and for the next 22 years he remained with the men and women of Pembroke, until 2023 retiring as Captain.
