PEMBROKE- Mrs. Jeanine M. (Lascelle) Lavoie, 76, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 26, 2024 after a short period of declining health. Born in Concord, Jeanine was the daughter of the late Lucien and Lucienne (Gagne) Lascelle. She was a graduate of Pembroke Academy. Prior to her retirement in 2010, Jeanine was employed by the Union Leader and worked in the composing room for 34 years. She enjoyed crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, solitaire, and painting programs on her iPad. In addition to her parents, Jeanine is predeceased by her stepdaughter: Cami Lavoie; her brothers: Marcelle and Paul Lascelle; her sister: Claire Severance; and her sister-in-law: Yvette Lascelle. Jeanine is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Maurice Lavoie; her children: Jodi Abbott and his wife Sally, Jason Abbott and his wife Kristen; and Maurice's daughter: Jennifer Lavoie. She was the sister to Dorothy McCormack and her husband Michael and was the sister-in-law to Nancy Lascelle. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Betty St. Germain.
