HOOKSETT- Jean (Hunt) Sprague, 86, of Hooksett, passed away peacefully at her home on June 14, 2022 surrounded by the love of her daughter Laurie and grandchildren Jordan, Jack and Joshua.
Born on July 8, 1935 in Johnsonville, NY, she was the eldest daughter of the late Frederick and Edith (Hunt) Hunt. Jean was raised and educated in Hoosick Falls, NY before moving to New Hampshire, where she lived for over 50 years.
Jean enjoyed weekend car rides with her daughter, and trips to New York to visit family, knitting, cooking, game shows and her neighbors. She cherished her coffee with Splenda, Jordan's homemade tomato soup and most importantly, her visits from her grandchildren and family, who she lived for. Jean most especially loved that Jordan and Jack lived with her so that she was able to remain in her home that she loved and was so proud of.
Jean was predeceased by her husband, James A. Sprague, Sr., her son, James Sprague, Jr. and her best friend and sister, Shirley Bissonnette.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Laurie Dydo and her husband, David of Bow; son, Terry Sprague and his wife, Christine of New York; her brother, Al Hunt and his wife, Polly of New York; her brother-in-law, Donald Bissonnette of New York, her grandchildren Jordan (and Jack) with whom she lived, of Hooksett; Joshua (and Jennifer), Krystle, Jennifer (and Heath) of Vermont; Jason (and Charity), C'Anna, Darian, and Abigail of New York. Her great grandchildren, Aiden, Cameron, Logan and Peighton of Vermont and Savanna, Isaac and Levi of New York. Jean also had many nieces and nephews; Linda, who she was particularly close to, Donny and Trina, Corena, Tim and Belinda, Dana and Kimberly. Jean also had a very close relationship with her great niece and nephew Stephanie and Brandon of New York, who she loved very much. She also leaves behind many family members who she remained in contact with on a regular basis, and her dear friends Dottie, Anita, Cheryl and Nancy, and all of her neighbors who she loved spending time with when the occasion arose.
Jean was particularly fond of and grateful for the loving care provided by her 'friends' at Brookhaven Hospice. Shaunna, Randi, Joanna and Felicia provided exceptional care to her and treated her with love and respect, often going above and beyond.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services at this time. If anyone would like to make a donation to a wonderful cause in Jeans name, the Community Action Program in Concord and Brookhaven Hospice in Bedford were two agencies close to her heart.
