CANTERBURY - Janet G. Labonte, 80, of Canterbury, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at her residence with her family by her side. Born on May 11, 1943 in Webster, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Irene (Dupras) Larrivee. Janet grew up in Newmarket, spent over 20 years as a military spouse living in many different states and countries, then worked for over 20 years at the Concord Police Department until her retirement as Records Department Manager. She enjoyed gardening, vacations at York Beach, reading, baking and time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. She saw the good in everyone and was always there to listen, lend a hand, and provide an encouraging word and sound advice. She is survived by her husband, Donald A. Labonte of Canterbury with whom she shared 61 years of marriage, two daughters, Kelly Holmes of Franklin and Tracy Labonte and her husband Scot Riley of Simsbury, CT, four sisters, Gloria Paradis of Manchester, Carol Moore of Durham, Gail Roulo and her husband William of Raymond and Linda Vachon of Dover, a brother in law and sister in law Raymond and Doris Bonner of Tilton, seven grandchildren, Jason, Jonathan B. and Jeffery Holmes, Carolyn, Michael, John and Benjamin Riley, four great grandchildren, Adam, Jonathan, Brantley and Brennan as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a special uncle, Andrew Dupras of Scituate, MA. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 1PM-3PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St, Pembroke. She will be interred at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at a future date at the convenience of the family.
