PEMBROKE - James S. Wencek, 73, of Pembroke passed away at his residence on Monday, July 17, 2023. Born on February 13, 1950 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Ignatius S. and Anne R. (Coughlan) Wencek. James served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and he wore the title of Vietnam Vet proudly. He was a Harley enthusiast and enjoyed the endless rides to nowhere specific. As a young kid James was brought into the family carpenter business and excelled at all he tried. He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing pool, watching football games and eating lasagna and cheesecake made by Lesa Phipps made Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Brad Josef Emmons. He is survived by his children, Stephanie Messina and her husband Michael, James M. Wencek of Goffstown and Sunny Wencek of Dover, siblings, David Wencek and his wife Alison of Pennellville, NY and Stephen Wencek and his wife Susan of Weymouth, MA, grandchildren, Rebecca, Crysta and Aliza, Devyn, great grandchildren, Aiden, Zzander, Allie, Madison and Lexi, niece, Elyse Wencek and nephew, Brandon Woodcroft Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 4PM to 6PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke. Interment with military honors will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 1PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
