Obituary

Ian R. "Scot" McLauchlan, Jr, 63 of Warner, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 15, 2024 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on October 8, 1960 in Bangor, ME, son of Ian and Sandra (Nelson) McLauchlan of Arcadia, FL. Ian had recently retired after working for over 20 years in construction and roofing, most recently as a Project Manager with Greenwood Industries. He could be found riding his motorcycle any chance he got, taking time to spend at Webb Lake in Weld, ME and enjoying time with his family. He loved listening to Classic Rock from the late 60's and 70's and was known for making friends anywhere he went or helping someone in need no matter the circumstances. His love for watching NASCAR (and really any racing on wheels) was well known. Ian was a talented sketch artist and employed his skills as a tattoo artist for many years and he continued sharing his tattoo artistry as a hobby even after arthritis made it difficult. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Wendy McLauchlan, children, Joseph (Danielle) McLauchlan, Andrew McLauchlan, Katelyn (Chris) Polonia, Dylan (Farrah) Polonia, and Noelle Lyon, siblings, DC Ramsay (Judithanne) McLauchlan, Christina (Paul) Brackna, former daughters-in-law, Tara McLauchlan and Andrea McLauchlan, grandchildren, Caroline, Joseph, Jr., Davina, Lily, Nova, Owen, Aleah, Liam, Landon, Gianna, Kylianne, Savannah, Raelynne, Leah and Kingston, nieces Rebecca, Morgan and Peggy as well as numerous cousins and other loved ones. Ian was a proud US Army veteran. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 1PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
