Obituary

Herve Gelinas Born: January 14, 1962 Died: October 12, 2025 Herve Gelinas was the beloved son of the late Walter E. and Gloria G. (Paquette) Gelinas and brother to Donna Meadows(deceased), Walter Gelinas, Jr. (deceased), Mark Gelinas and his wife Jill, William Gelinas and his wife Sharon, Tami Dow and her husband Mike, and Lisa Berry and her husband Ralph as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. From a young age, Herve's life was full of energy, laughter, and a love for sports. He spent many years, all the way through Bishop Brady High School, playing hockey—his greatest passion—and approached both the game and life itself with determination, joy, and a playful spirit. After high school, Herve worked in construction alongside his father, learning the trade and building a strong work ethic that remained with him throughout his life. He later served in the Army with distinction for eight years, demonstrating strength, discipline, and commitment that left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Herve faced one of life's greatest challenges when his wife passed away, leaving behind their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Tina Gelinas. He devoted himself to raising her with love, care, and unwavering dedication, ensuring she was always supported and surrounded by family. Herve's life was also enriched by his four cherished grandchildren: Niomi Jensen, Colin Jensen, Jaxson Gelinas, and Jordyn Gelinas. He loved them deeply, and they brought him immense joy. Herve Gelinas will be remembered for his laughter, his adventurous spirit, his passion for hockey, his tireless work ethic, and his deep devotion to family. He touched the lives of all who knew him and leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories.
