EPSOM – Herbert I. Yeaton, Jr., 80, of Epsom, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the Granite VNA Hospice House following a period of declining health.
He was born on July 5, 1944 in Plymouth, NH, son of the late Herbert Yeaton, Sr. and Ella (Whittemore) Clark.
Herbert worked for many years with the State Highway Department, and for Dail Transportation as a bus driver and mechanic for over 35 years. He could be found tinkering around the house fixing odds and ends. He enjoyed woodworking and making projects and gifts for friends and family. He loved taking his beloved wife square dancing whenever he could. He treasured the time he spent with his family.
Besides his parents, Hebert was predeceased by his wife Emily G. (Fife) Yeaton in 2019, two sisters, Betty Fabbo and Billy Clark.
He is survived by a son, Clifton Currier and his wife Debra of Barnstead, two daughters, Ellie Letourneau of Epsom and Kim Crowley and her husband Michael of Epsom, siblings, Thomas Yeaton, Robert Yeaton, Gloria Biron, Carolyn Stiles, John Yeaton and Tina Samson, grandchildren, Melissa Babcock and her husband Frank, Amy Currier, Lindsay Cassin and Andrew Crowley, great grandchildren, Addison, Kinzlee, Emma, Zoey, Caleb, Jacob and Madison, stepdad, William Clark as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A period of visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 10AM-11AM at the Roan Family Funeral Home – Still Oaks Chapel 1217 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom. A service will be held in the funeral home beginning at 11 AM and a light reception will be held from 12PM-1PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 1:30PM at McClary Cemetery in Epsom.
