FRANKLIN - Henry B. Stevens, 89, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at the Granite VNA Hospice House following complications from a fall.
Born in Morrisville, VT on August 24, 1933 he was the son of the late Joseph Kent and May (Clark) Stevens.
Henry was educated in Morrisville & Orleans, Vermont schools and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Business from UNH, after he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Henry and his wife Patricia then moved to Derry, NH were they owned and operated National Supply Co., which served shoe manufacturers throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts. They then moved to Alton, NH, where they lived for 28 years, and together were professional philatelists, someone who buys and sells collectible stamps, a business that their son continues to operate. They retired to Southwest Florida to get away from the winter in 2001.
Henry loved ham radio, music, radio-controlled air planes, gardening, venturing into the woods, traveling, writing poetry, continuing his quest for lifelong learning and meeting new people wherever he went. His most passionate and important pastime was being with, and caring for, his wife of 63 years, Patricia.
Besides his parents, Henry was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Osborne) Stevens, daughter, Cynthia Morrill, and brother Murray Stevens.
He is survived by his son Philip Stevens of Alton, daughter, Linda Stevens of Milton, grandson, David Cormier of Franklin, great-granddaughter, Daysie Cardozo, sister, Barbara White, sister-in-law Carrie Stevens, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
