ALLENSTOWN- Mrs. Henriette (Raymond) Girard, 90, of Allenstown, passed away at the Epsom Healthcare Center surrounded by her family after a long period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Allenstown, Henriette was the daughter of the late Ernest and Armeneige (Baron) Raymond. She graduated from St. John the Baptist Grammar School, Mount St. Mary High School in Nashua and later earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business and Economics from Mount St. Mary College in Hooksett. Prior to her retirement, Henriette was a teacher at Pembroke Academy for 22 years, previously teaching in Sunapee. She later worked at the Suncook Bank as well as for the Town of Allenstown, serving as the tax collector and town administrator, the secretary for the Allenstown Police Department and later as School District Treasurer. She enjoyed remaining active in her town and served on various committees throughout the years. She was a lifelong communicant of St. John the Baptist Parish in Allenstown, where she served on the parish council, was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality, the St. Therese Rosebush Society and was a member of the choir for many years. Henriette enjoyed knitting, gardening, singing, playing the piano and was an avid Red Sox fan. She loved strawberries, all desserts, visiting with her dear friend, Priscilla and playing cards with her granddaughters and cousins, Lorraine and Jr. She was predeceased by her sisters: Evelyn Guilbeault and Madeline Hartford, the father of her daughters, Donald A. Girard and her lifelong friend, Rita Bellerose. She is survived by her two daughters: Dawn G. Labrecque and her husband Mark of Allenstown and Kathy Brasley of Concord. She was the loving Memere to Amy Pepper (her longtime caregiver), Kristen Kourafas, Holly Soriano and Kelsey Menelaus Charest. She was the loving Memette to Riley, CJ, Hannah, Noah, Camden, Claire, Kason, Natalie, Ezra and Hayden. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the entire staff at the Epsom Healthcare Center for the outstanding, loving and compassionate way they cared for Henriette in her last years. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22nd from 9 to 10 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 A.M. Services will conclude with burial in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Following the graveside service, please come and share memories of Henriette at St. John the Baptist Parish Hall, where the celebration of her life will continue.
