HOOKSETT- Mr. Gregory C. Sapounas, 69, of Hooksett, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 11, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Manchester, Greg was the son of the late George and Anna (Richardson) Sapounas. He was raised and educated in Manchester and was a graduate of Central High School. He later attended and graduated from Plymouth College. Prior to his retirement, Greg was the owner and operator of Sapounas & Sons Painting for over 40 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed bird hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved tending to his apple trees and also liked blueberry and strawberry picking. Greg is survived by his beloved wife of over 45 years, Nancy M. (Margelot); his two sons: Michael G. Sapounas and his wife Kathryn of Amherst and Peter C. Sapounas and his wife Fallyn of Pembroke; his four grandchildren: Dominick, Alex, Teagan and Brayden; and his two siblings: Stephen Sapounas of Manchester and Susan Vallieres and her husband Mark of Arizona. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 20th at 11 A.M. in the Head Cemetery, Pleasant St. Hooksett. In lieu of flowers, donations in Greg's memory may be sent to the Wildlife Heritage Foundation of New Hampshire, 54 Portsmouth St. Concord, NH 03301.
