Girard J. Amyot, 83, of Pembroke, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long period of declining health. Born in Brownington, VT, Girard was the son of the late William J. and Blanche (Gamelin) Amyot. He was a Pembroke resident most of his life. Prior to his retirement, Girard was a plant operator and dump truck driver for Plourde Sand and Gravel. He enjoyed camping with his wife, Joanne Amyot and making wood bundles for the local campgrounds. We wish to thank the VNA of Concord for all their support during this difficult time, especially Brooke, R.N., Lori, R.N., Meghan and Bridgett, L.N.A. Girard was predeceased by his wife, Joanne (Duguay) Amyot; daughters, Karen Villenueve and her husband Reggie; son, Kevin Amyot; sister, Simone Baum and her husband Arthur; and brother: Roger Amyot. Girard is survived by his three sons, Brian Amyot and his wife Karen (Clevland), Stacy Amyot and Jeff Amyot; siblings, Ernest Amyot and his wife Phyllis and Lucille Leblanc and her husband Richard; his grandchildren, Joshua Amyot and his wife Melissa, Kristina Amyot, Michael Villenueve, Jonathan Villeneuve and Ryan Post; great grandchildren, Kayla, Joshua, Cameron, Braydon, Ayden, Neveah and Myrah; and many nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 1 P.M. at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Roan Funeral Home in Pembroke is assisting the family with arrangements.
