Obituary

Gerald N. "Jerry" Baillargeon, 70, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024 with loving family by his side. Born June 12, 1954 in Manchester, NH, Jerry was the son of the late Norman Baillargeon and Anita (Beaulac) Baillargeon. Jerry was a lifelong resident of the "Suncook" area and a graduate of Pembroke Academy in 1972. Professionally, he spent his early years as a successful and sought after Big Rig driver, hauling and setting modular homes throughout New England. He later was a heavy equipment operator working for Weaver Brothers at the Bow Power Plant facility in Bow NH. Jerry endured some physical limitations from a work injury sustained years ago, yet he happily spent much of his time being there to help his family and close friends when they needed a helping hand. If there was a job or task needing to be done, Jerry was always there making sure it got done, and done right. "Papa" was known for his huge giving heart, and his most treasured moments were time spent with his loving daughter Krystal, and his precious granddaughters, Juliana and Isabel. Jerry was the ultimate proud "Papa". He could often be found helping with school work, being there anytime/anywhere a driver was needed, coloring with or watching any of his granddaughters' favorite programs on TV. If Papa could be near his granddaughters, he was happy, content and "up for anything". Papa realized that it is these simple shared moments in life that, in reflection, are truly the BIG things, and they meant the most to him. Jerry was a devoted companion and loved to spend time with his best friends, his beloved dogs that he had over the years of his adult life: Butch, Max and Cocoa. Jerry was also a skilled wood working craftsman and was known for his elaborate bird houses that he would fabricate and then give away to family and friends to enjoy. He would often include his granddaughters in helping out with these fun little projects. He leaves such a hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, however, he is now walking with the Lord and is reunited with beloved family members. You are forever loved and thank you for being You. First born son, father, Papa, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and neighbor. Until we meet again, keep on being Jerry. Gerald is survived by his beloved daughter: Krystal Borba and her boyfriend David Cantara of Pembroke, NH; his two precious granddaughters: Juliana and Isabel Borba; and his step-grandson: Logan Cantara; his brother: Paul Baillargeon and wife Doreen of Allenstown, NH; several cherished cousins; a niece; grandniece; and many extended family members. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 12 pm in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Allenstown.
