ALLENSTOWN- Gary Paul Chisholm, 71, of Allenstown, passed away on November 11, 2022 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a long illness. He was born on June 1, 1951 in Lowell, MA to the late John and Marie (Swenson) Chisholm. He lived most of his life in Sanbornton, NH near Lake Winnisquam. Gary attended the Laconia Technical College and worked at Electro Circuits, Wadley, alongside his father in his plumbing business, the Elks Lodge, the Rod & Gun Club and Concord Litho. He was a member of the Winnisquam Boat and Ski Club and the Winnipesaukee Water Ski Association, where he participated in racing boats for a number of years. He also loved to spend time at the lake with his family and often attended family dinner with them. He was a longtime member of the Allenstown Historical Society and had many friends in Allenstown. Gary loved to have a good time and always had a smile on his face. He would often be on the floor with his nephews playing toy cars and hide-and-seek. His favorite hobbies were putting together and running trains and assembling model cars. Carol Grenier, who predeceased him in death, was his companion for many years. They would travel to the ocean and take road trips. He also often went with Carol to her son, Jean's musical concerts. Gary is survived by his brothers, John Bruce Chisholm and his wife Pat of Newburyport, MA, Glenn Chisholm and his wife Diane of Allenstown, and Mark Chisholm and his wife Shelly of Laconia. He also leaves two nieces and their children. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services held at this time. A Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date.
