PEMBROKE – Gary W. Banker, 69, of Pembroke, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, with his son by his side. Gary was born on December 6, 1954, in Concord, son of Arlene Lodge of Pembroke and the late Edmund "Buddy" Banker. He was educated in the local Pembroke schools, and Merrimack valley high. Gary worked for many years as a painter, but his true love was found in music and song writing, a love he shared with friends and family alike. Over the years he would share his "stories" through his songs in bands like the Steamers with his friend Don White, and Bankers Blend with his good friends Scott, Steve and Jessica. He often reminisced about the memories he made living on Jeff's farm. Loved being part of the VW bus club. And he adored his son, teaching him to play music and taking him fishing through the years, hobbies they both enjoyed together and memories they both treasure. Besides his father, Gary was predeceased by a sister, Judy Luckern and a niece, Jennifer. He is survived by his son, William (Billy) Banker and his wife Natalie, siblings, Ron Banker, Jody Bissette, George Lodge and Danielle Murphy, nieces and nephews, Jessica, Corey, Shawn, Geo and Nigel. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 22nd at 11 A.M. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Penacook. The Roan Family Funeral Home in Pembroke is assisting the family with arrangements.
