CENTER BARNSTEAD – Faith F. (Fairchild) McTigue, 90, of Center Barnstead, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Keene Center after a period of failing health.

She was born on March 23, 1935, in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of the late George Sherman and Ruth Lillian (Schadewald) Fairchild. Faith was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late Robert J. McTigue.

Faith and Bob were the proud Innkeepers of the Captain Folsom Inn, a beloved bed and breakfast in Greenland, NH, where they welcomed guests for 20 years, creating a warm, home-like atmosphere that many fondly remember. Together, they traveled extensively in their Airstream, exploring the country and enjoying new adventures. Faith had a lifelong passion for quilting and spent many hours creating intricate, colorful quilts that reflected her patience and creativity. She loved tending her garden, filling her yard with flowers and vegetables, and she delighted in sharing her harvest with friends and neighbors. A devoted history enthusiast, Faith enjoyed learning about the past and sharing stories that connected her family to generations before them. Her warmth, curiosity, and creative spirit touched all who knew her.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Duane and stepdaughter, Tamara and her husband, David.

Faith is survived by her children, Deborah, David and Dianne and their spouses; stepchildren, Bonnie, John and Holly and their spouses; brother, Donald; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Faith will be laid to rest with her husband, Bob at Bellevue Cemetery in Harvard, MA at the convenience of the family.
