Boscawen - Evelyn G. (Mercier) Beaule, 96, of Boscawen, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Merrimack County Nursing Home, Boscawen. Evelyn was born on March 21, 1927 in Walden, VT, daughter of the late Francis and Irene (Michaud) Fisher. She spent her childhood in Vermont, loving life on her grandparents' farm before moving with her parents to Laconia where she attended Laconia High School. At the age of 17, she went back to Vermont to care for her grandmother whom she loved dearly. Returning to Laconia, she worked for many years in the healthcare industry as a nurse's aide, showing love and care to all her patients, from the babies at the Laconia state school, to the patients at St. Frances home in Laconia. Making sure that no one passed alone, she was always there. She spent many years fostering children and welcoming them into our home and family. She enjoyed her flower garden, sewing, quilting and Bingo and most especially spending time with her grandchildren and gathering the family for holidays. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sons, Steven Fournier, Ronald Mercier and Daniel Bolduc. She is survived by her children, Linda Shaw of Ashland, Valerie Belyea of Goshen, Robert Mercier, Jr. of Camp Verde, AZ and Tina Huntley of Loudon, grandchildren, Amy Fournier, Brady Fournier, Jillian Mercier, Jonathan Mercier, Robert Mercier, III, James Shaw, Lisa Wyatt, Bethanne Day and Stephanie Huntley as well as nine great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held sometime in May at Holy Cross Cemetery in Franklin. Service information will be announced on the funeral home website when a date is set.
