ALLENSTOWN- Elizabeth Ada (Leary) Keniston went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2022. She was born on March 11, 1929, to Olive (Griffin) Leary and Melvin Lewis Leary. Elizabeth (Liz) graduated from Concord High School in 1947 and married Arthur Henry Keniston on July 4th in the same year. Elizabeth married her late husband's half-brother, Joseph Everett Keniston on November 23, 2000, when they began spending summers in Allenstown, NH and winters in Orlando, Florida. Liz enjoyed painting, swimming, square dancing, gardening, and camping. She was a friend to all she met and especially enjoyed helping others in need. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Arthur Henry Keniston and Joseph Everett Keniston; two brothers, Oliver Megrath and Lester True Megrath; and one sister, Marion Louise (Megrath) Chadwick. Her surviving children are Betty Jean Hamel and husband Frederick George Hamel of Concord, Patricia Ann Colby of Allenstown, Robert Arthur Keniston and partner William Howard Fox of Roanoke Virginia, and Melvin Lewis Keniston and wife Grace Elizabeth Keniston of Enfield, NH. Surviving grandchildren are Clovis John Boulet III of Bennington, NH, Mark James Hamel of Spartanburg, SC, Carie Ann Archambault of Alton, NH, Melissa Jane Hamel of Buffalo, NY and Nickolas Arthur Keniston of Somersworth, NH. She leaves nine great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, February 15th from 6 to 8 P.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 16th at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.
