Obituary

ALLENSTOWN – Elizabeth Mary (Chase) Dustin, 84, a longtime resident of Allenstown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Concord Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 25, 1941, in Nashua, NH, daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Colford) Chase. Betty was the loving wife of Robert Edward Dustin who tragically preceded her in death in 1976. She dedicated her life to caring for others, beginning with her many years as a loving and patient daycare teacher. Her greatest calling, however, was as a foster mother, opening her heart and home to countless children over 44 remarkable years. Her kindness and compassion touched every life she encountered. In recent years, Betty brought that same warmth and generosity to her work in customer service at Walmart, where she was known for her friendly smile and genuine care for others. Betty found great joy in the simple beauty of life, especially in time spent by the ocean. She loved traveling whenever she could, with Costa Rica holding a special place in her heart. Her journeys often took her to visit family in Hawaii and the Carolinas, where she eagerly looked forward to family reunions filled with laughter, love, and lasting memories. Her adventures also took her to West Germany and Paris France, where both countries she rejoiced with far away family members. Above all, Betty cherished the moments shared with her family, who were always at the heart of her life. She will be remembered as a caring, giving, hardworking, and independent woman whose warmth and strength touched the lives of all who knew her. In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was predeceased by her sons, Robert Edward Dustin, Jr. and Kenneth Edward Dustin; her brother, John Chase; and brother-in-law, Bob Savageau. She will be remembered by her daughters and family: Kelley Flood and her husband, Thomas of ME, Cathy Morency, Chrissy Dustin, Sam Xavier and her husband, David, Stephanie Goudreault and Jessie Dustin all of NH; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Kay Savageau of NC, Roberta Rioux and her husband, Bob of CA and Kenneth Chase and his wife, Carol of NH; daughter-in-law, Pam Ward of NH; sister-in-law, Stella Chase of NH; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Roan Family Funeral Home in Pembroke is assisting the family with arrangements.
