Edward
Joaquin
Sep 19, 1940 — Jul 30, 2024
Edward H. Joaquin, 83, of Concord, NH, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2024, with his loving children by his side. He was born in Concord, NH on September 19, 1940 to Norman F. Joaquin & Francis A. (Gray) Joaquin. Edward married his sweetheart, Georgianna G. (Sinclair) Joaquin, on October 7, 1961 and was very happily married to her for 59 years until her passing. They had three children, Scott, Cheryl and Edward (Chip). He grew up in Penacook, NH and graduated in 1958 from Penacook High School. He worked 9 years at Cilley Auto Body and a short time at Pitco Frialator. He then spent 27 years proudly working for the Concord Fire Department, retiring as a Battalion Chief. After his retirement, he worked many years for the Concord School District as a bus driver. Family was everything to him. He always wanted to help and do anything he could for them. He loved spending time with his wife and kids at their summer camp on Lake Winnipesaukee as well as many family vacations. Ed loved to tinker, and could fix, pretty much anything. He was a hard worker and took pride in everything he did. In his retirement years, he enjoyed going for afternoon car rides with his wife, especially when they stopped for ice cream. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Ed is predeceased by his wife: Georgianna; his son: Scott; and his eldest brother: Frederick Joaquin. He is survived by his daughter: Cheryl and her husband Dennis Hill of Concord; his son: Edward "Chip" Joaquin of Waltham, MA; his youngest brother, Reginald Joaquin; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be no services. Roan Family Funeral Home in Pembroke assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the charity of your choice. To share a memory or offer a condolence please visit www.roanfamilyfuneral.com.
