Douglas Mattson, 72 of Concord, passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. He was born on January 2, 1954, in San Jose, CA; son of the late Russell and Phyllis (Bonham) Mattson. Doug served his country for many years in the United States Navy. He worked for most of his life as a pressman, before an injury that made him unable to work. Never one to sit idle, Doug had lots of hobbies even at the ripe age of 72, he enjoyed mountain biking, kayaking, diving, racing RC’s of all types and video games. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Linda Mattson and Thomas Thompson. He is survived by his daughter, Ashleigh Morse, grandchild, Daemino Morse, cat, Molly and lifelong friend and caretaker, Rita Mondoux. Arrangements are being made to have Doug interred at the NH State Veterans Cemetery at a date and time to be determined.
