Obituary

Douglas H. Bush, 84, of Weare, passed away following a battle with cancer, surrounded by love and family.

He was born on July 23, 1942, in Bridgeport, CT; son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Ogden) Bush. 

After a lengthy career with the Boston Maine Railroad, he became passionate about trains. He enjoyed all types of fishing, bird watching, and tinkering. Doug was a hard worker who enjoyed staying busy.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two children, Douglas H. Bush, Jr. and Sarah A. Bush; and two brothers, Harold and James Bush.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lori (Kronick) Bush of Weare; his children, Christopher P. Bush of CT, Tara A. Cassidy of MD, Sonya L. Kinch of MA and Dylan H. Bush and his wife Cassandra of Concord; eight grandchildren, Heather Pohl and her husband Zack, Sarah Bush and her partner Jake, Nancy Bush, Sean Gatine, Kyla Clark, Sally Clark and her partner Silqwan Russell, and Maddison Bush; and eight great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday September 11th from 12PM-1:30PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke followed by a memorial service beginning at 1:30PM. A gathering will be held at 2:30 at Litherman’s Brewing, 126 Hall St Ste B, Concord, NH 03301.
