HOOKSETT – Dorothy M. "Dottie" Belanger, 83, of Hooksett, NH passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 9, 1942, in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Armand and Dorothy Roux. Dorothy married the love of her life, Lee R. Belanger, on April 11, 1961, and together they shared 65 years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and family. She is survived by her loving husband, Lee. Dottie was raised in Manchester and attended local schools, including Saint Joseph High School for Girls and Notre Dame College. While raising her family, she began working from home as a seamstress. She worked as a sales representative for Avon and later as an administrative assistant for several companies, including Danais Reality Group and Evans Enterprises, before retiring in 2006. She was deeply committed to her community and gave generously of her time as a volunteer with CASA of New Hampshire for over 25 years, advocating for children, and making a meaningful difference in their lives. She often volunteered at her children's sporting events helping in the concession stand. Dottie was notably involved in the 1980 Ronald Reagan presidential campaign, where she helped orchestrate the "jelly bean" birthday celebration for Mr. Reagan. Dottie found joy in sewing, camping and traveling abroad. She loved wintering in Florida with her husband and going out to dinner and shopping with the girls. She loved entertaining family and friends and cherished every moment spent with her fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Family was everything to her! For the past 20 years, she and her husband attended All Saints Anglican Mission Church in Concord, NH. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. In addition to her husband, Dottie is survived by her children; Lisa Nelson and her husband, Bruce of Candia, NH; Lori Begin and her husband, Bob of Epsom, NH; Leslie Parker of Eliot, ME; Lee Belanger II and his wife, DeLorie of Hooksett, NH; and Lyle Belanger and his wife, Kimberley of Manchester, NH.
