HOOKSETT – Doris V. Ouellette, 91, of Hooksett, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester.
She was born on September 27, 1933 in Central Falls, RI, daughter of the late Charles and Elian "Lillian" (Lahaie) Loiselle.
Doris held many titles through the years from daughter to wife, mother to grandmother and even great grandmother. She was a caretaker/Nurses Aid and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking for family dinners, drawing, knitting and writing poetry. Doris was a member of the Hooksettites since the early 90's.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three children: David Ouellette, John Ouellette and Alice Hadley and her husband Steven; one grandchild: Traver Ouellette; and four siblings: Charles Loiselle, Pauline Gagnon, Lorette Santa Barbara and Robert Loiselle.
She is survived by her husband: Gerard Ouellette of Hooksett, whom she shared 70 years of marriage; her children: Elaine Gamache and her husband Michael, Phillip Ouellette and his wife Rita; her daughter-in-law: Karen Ouellette; her four siblings: Irene Carr, Paul Loiselle, George Loiselle and Walter Loiselle; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 10am at Holy Rosary Church in Hooksett. Interment will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at 12pm.
