DEERFIELD – Donald "Don" McHugh, aka "Magoo" 64, of Deerfield passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
He was born on April 9, 1960 in Waltham, MA; he was the son of Dorothy (Crowe) McHugh and the late Emmanuel McHugh. He was a graduate of Manchester Central High School.
Don was a hard worker; he was employed for many years with the Local 98 Operators Union as an Equipment Operator and more recently had been working at the Deerfield Fairgrounds as the Maintenance Supervisor. As hard as Don worked, he played even harder! Music made him whole, if he was sitting at one of his drum sets and had his hair flying high he was happy. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving his 67' Camaro, collecting his hot wheels muscle cars and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his #1 fan, Cynthia (Wyman) McHugh, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage; sons, Mike McHugh and his girlfriend, Amanda LaGrasse of Barrington and Greg McHugh and his wife Leah of Deerfield; siblings, Linda McHugh, Deborah Chevalier, Thomas McHugh and his wife Christine, Joseph McHugh and his wife Tammy, grandchildren, Aiden Enos, Leo, Tucker, Autumn, Aubree, André and Anna McHugh, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; bandmates, Marc P. "The Kid", Charlie "Walsh", Marky V., Rudy, Jim, Suzanne, Lauri and Joey Z; extended family, Tam and Adam Bishop as well as many other friends, fans and groupies.
