CONCORD- Mrs. Diane L. (Nadeau) McGrath, 68, of Concord formerly of Pittsfield, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on August 29, 2024 after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester, Diane was the daughter of the late Norman N. "Joe" and Mary L. (Towle) Nadeau. She was raised and educated in Pembroke and was a graduate of Pembroke Academy.
Prior to her retirement, she worked in the Patient Financial Services Department for Concord Hospital. Prior to that, she spent many years in the financial services division of Chubb Life Insurance.
Diane was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary as well as the Flamingals, helping raise funds and awareness for the Payson Center for Cancer Care at Concord Hospital.
She enjoyed quilting, canning and making jelly. She was an avid Celtics fan, enjoyed wintering in Florida, and cherished time on the lake with family and friends. Family was paramount to her, whether it be traveling with her sisters, planning the next family event, or traveling to basketball games in support of her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister, Darlene Miner and her sister-in-law, Kim Nadeau.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Brian McGrath; her four children: Amie Stephens and her husband Bryce of Pembroke, Crystal Holle and her husband Chris of Murfreesboro, TN, Amanda McGrath of Webster and Steven McGrath of Pembroke. She was the sister to Dennis Nadeau of Pembroke, Douglas Nadeau of Rochester, Denise Dubuque and her husband Glen of Pembroke and Drina Nadeau of Suncook and the sister-in-law to Blake Miner of Pembroke. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ashley Stephens, Kate Stephens, Caylin Stockman, Evan Stockman, Marley Witham and Francis Sullivan and her great grandchild, Emasin Stockman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 6th from 4 to 6 P.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Memorial Service will follow at 6 P.M.
