Obituary

ALLENSTOWN- Mr. Dennis Duford, 75, of Allenstown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, May 29, 2025 after a period of declining health. Born in Manchester on January 5, 1950, Denny was the son of the late Roland S. and Pearl A. (Richard) Duford. He was raised and educated in Allenstown and was a graduate of Pembroke Academy. Prior to his retirement in 2020, Denny was a water operator for Pembroke Water Works where he was employed for 27 years. Prior to that he worked for National Fence and Granite in Concord for 26 years. He was a proud member of the Suncook Valley Rod & Gun Club for 48 years. Besides his parents Denny was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Lisa Sutliff. Denny is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Marcia (Peaslee) Duford; his son, Chad Duford and his wife, Leslie of Concord; his stepchildren, Ed Watson and his companion, Melissa of Shelburne, Jennifer Stewart and her husband, Jeff of Gorham and Stacey Sutliff of Maryland; his brother, Ronald Duford and his wife, Heather of Chichester; his sister, Judith Kelsea and her husband, Robert of Epsom; his beloved grandchildren, Delaney and Evan Duford, Jessica and Jarred Stewart, and Ella and Ava Watson; nieces, Trisha Hellings and Tara Griffiths and nephews, Derek and Josh Duford. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 10am to 12pm in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. in Pembroke, a graveside service will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, River Rd.
