Obituary

EPSOM - Darlene Dion Nedeau, 67, passed away at her home in Epsom surrounded by family on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Born in Taunton, MA on August 21, 1955, the daughter of the late Roland E. and Margaret H. (Woodard) Dion. She attended the local Raynham Schools and graduated from Bridgewater Raynham Regional High School. Darlene was a member of the North Raynham Congregational Church for many years. She graduated from the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music in Grand Rapids, MI and later attended Washington Bible College in Lanham, MD. She went on to continue her education at Prince George Community College in Maryland. While teaching Kindergarten in Taunton, MA, Mrs. Nedeau also attended Bridgewater State College, during this time she attended the Tremont Temple Baptist Church, Boston, MA. Moving to Concord, NH in the late 80's she taught grades 1-3 while working part time at Zayre's Department Store. She began full time work as Zayre's Fabric Department Manager. While at Zayre's she attended the Continuing Educational Program through the Concord High School. Working for the Cavalier Realty Corporation she managed their Concord office known as the American Mobile Home Brokers. She was a realtor and served as sale agent at the Coldwell Banker Village House Real Estate. Upon the sale of the Village House, she joined R/W Smith Real Estate as listing agent and marketing expert. She was a member of LEADS Club of Concord. For eight years, Darlene resided in Florida with her husband and enjoyed hundreds of trips to Disney, she loved all things involving Disney. Darlene was a Notary Public for the State of NH for many years. As an active member of the Concord Christian Women's Club she served as Telephone Chairman, Special Feature Chairman and Chairman of the board. She was a Charter Member of Concord Covenant Church. As a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, she was an Advocate with Government Relations. Members of her family include her husband, Rodney R. Nedeau of Epsom; her sister, Charlene Thayer; step-children, Scott Nedeau and his wife, Ursula, Steven Nedeau and his wife, Denise, Kelly Nedeau and her husband, Andrew Benjamin and April Nedeau and her husband, J.P. Brown and Step-grandchildren, Krystal, Kasondra, Scott, Andrew, Nicole, Sophia and Jackson and step-greatgrandchildren, Devaugh and Mason. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 4PM-6PM at Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. Pembroke. A private graveside service will take place Pleasant St. Cemetery in Raynham, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Darlene's honor to Granite VNA Hospice, 30 Pillsbury St, Concord, NH 03301.
