Obituary

Darlene French, 63, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her home. She was born on March 16, 1961 in Manchester to Noella (Beaudoin) Halen and the late Howard Halen, Sr. Darlene spent her entire life in Suncook, attended Pembroke Academy and worked many years for General Electric. A devout Catholic, her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she found profound comfort in her daily prayers, particularly to Blessed Mother Mary and St. Francis of Assisi. Her love for her family was boundless. Her role as a mother and grandmother brought her immense joy, and she poured her heart into creating lasting memories together with them. She always made time for crafts, taking fun pictures, giving sweet treats, and making new memories. Her home was a place of laughter and love and the gentle presence of the animals she adored. She had a special affinity for all creatures great and small, often finding solace and joy in their company. Her compassionate heart extended to every living being, and she saw the divine in the simple beauty of nature and the everyday miracles that many might overlook. Darlene is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years: Mark French; her son: Jason French and his wife Maria; her daughter: Melanie Bilodeau and her partner Graham White; her brother: Howard Halen, Jr and his wife Denise; her sister: Pamela Smith and her husband Doug; and her six beautiful grandchildren: Oliver, Myles, Gabriel, Logan, Wilmont and Lyla.
