Obituary

ALLENSTOWN - Claudette (Cyr) Nadeau, 86, of Allenstown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Manchester and was the daughter of William and Bertha (Taillefer) Cyr. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Arthur "Joe" Nadeau; her son, James Nadeau of Allenstown; her daughters, Marie Marston (Chris) of Bow, Lisa MacDougall of Concord; grandchildren Kaley Vilmont (Rob) of TN, Taylor Marston of TN, William MacDougall (Mckenzie) of Concord, Scott MacDougall of Concord, Jennifer Rappleyea (Scott) of FL, and Kelley MacDougall of FL; great grandchildren, RJ, Maddy, AJ, Logan, Kaya and Madison. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, James MacDougall; and brother-in-law Pete Nadeau. Claudette grew up in the Suncook Village, where she lived happily. Upon graduation from Pembroke Academy, she worked at Concord Group Insurance, until she met and married the love of her life Joe, while dancing. She raised her family and looked forward to cookouts on the weekends, especially in Barnstead, Salem, and along the Merrimack River. As children and grandchildren became a large part of her life, she enthusiastically watched them play sports and activities. She lovingly babysat her grandchildren and extended family's children. Her entire life revolved around cooking and nurturing her family. Later, vacations at Rye Beach and playing cards on Fridays was a must. As her family grew, laughing and enjoying the Holidays together with her grandchildren was, "the icing on the cake." Claudette volunteered at the Red Cross and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and VFW locally. Hers was a life of service and love. Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, at The Roan Family Funeral Home 167 Main St., Pembroke from 9:30am to 11:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12pm at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to her wonderful circle of friends and family, who enriched her life to its fullest.
