CHICHESTER - It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the unexpected passing of Christopher Lee Briggs "Briggsy", Age 56, on Thursday, October 16, 2025 with his faithful dog, Ruger by his side. Chris, a life long resident of the Pittsfield area was born on March 1, 1969 to Jacquelyn (Adams) Arey and Leland F. Briggs in Concord, New Hampshire. Beneath the struggles was a person who marched to the beat of his own drum. He will be remembered for his laughter, his wild stories, and the parts of him that were full of life. We lament the memories we wished we could have made. While our shared journey was often challenging, his absence leaves an undeniable sense of loss but we hold on to the hope that he's finally at peace. Chris was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Michael Briggs and his sister, Lisa Avery. He is survived by his children, Brittney Briggs, Katie Isabelle, and Christopher Briggs Jr.; his grandchildren, Kamden, Karlie, and Eleanor; sister-in-law, Laura Briggs; 3 sisters and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Christopher's daughters will be holding an evening of closure on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Pittsfield Community Center, 74 Main Street Pittsfield, NH, a potluck style dinner where all are welcome to come share memories and food.
