CONCORD- Mr. Charles H. Mathewson, 75, of Concord, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 18, 2024. Born in Concord, Charlie was the son of the late Byron and Barbara (Locke) Mathewson. He enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country for over 23 years before being honorably discharged with the rank of Yeoman First Class. Following his military service, Charlie worked as an office administrator in the local plumbing industry. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed going to and watching movies, going out to eat and painting. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his family. Charlie is survived by his daughter: Sonja Mathewson; three sisters: Laura Robertson and her husband John, Nancy Dixon and her husband Jack and Carol Farrell and her husband Frank; his beloved grandson, Romeo Mathewson-George; and his former wife and dear friend, Rima Mathewson. Burial with Military Honors will take place on Thursday, June 27th at 12 P.M. in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
