PEMBROKE- Mrs. Cecile (Girard) Connor, 90, of Pembroke, passed away at the Pine Rock Manor in Warner on August 26, 2022 after a long period of declining health. Born in Concord, Cecile was the daughter of the late Henry and Beatrice (Lavallee) Girard. She was raised and educated in Epsom and was a graduate of Pembroke Academy. She then resided in Pembroke and Allenstown for the rest of her life. Prior to her retirement, Cecile was employed as a family coordinator for the NH Dept. of Health & Human Services. In earlier years, she was instrumental in the initiating of a summer camp for disabled children. She was a long-time communicant of St. John the Baptist Church. Cecile enjoyed traveling, walking and tending to the flowers and plants around her home. She was predeceased by her daughter: Susan Connor, her brother, Francis Girard and her sister, Jean Paquette. Cecile is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Charles L. Connor. She is also survived by her brother, Leo Girard as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31st from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home 167 Main St. in Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Services will conclude with burial at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
