CENTER BARNSTEAD- Carole J. (Johnson) Berry, 81, a longtime Barnstead resident, passed away on June 22, 2024 surrounded by her children after a period of declining health.
Born in Concord, Carole was the daughter of the late Einar V. and Ruth M. (Ingleson) Johnson. She was raised and educated in Manchester was a graduate of Central High School.
Prior to her retirement in 2012, Carole was employed as a rural mail carrier for over 25 years.
She was a devoted mother, lovingly remembered as an amazing cook. She enjoyed being with her family, gardening, Bingo, and in later years, traveling.
She was predeceased by her husband, James N. Berry and her son, Michael Berry.
Carole is survived by her four children: Jamie Berry and his wife Shari of Manchester, Chris Berry and his wife Brandie of Center Barnstead, Maria Kapos and her husband Calvin of Goffstown and Kimberly Dillaway and her husband Kevin of New Boston. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Johannah Dillaway, Elijah Dillaway, Micah Dillaway, Antonio Kapos, Milan Kapos, Haylay Berry, Alexa Berry and Brayden Berry.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, July 26th from 5 to 7 P.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home – Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 27th at 10 A.M. in Riverview Cemetery, Barnstead. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carole’s memory may be sent to the New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition, 142 Lowell Rd. Unit 17-200, Hudson, NH 03051.
