MANCHESTER – Carol J. Bartlett, 66, of Manchester, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Evergreen Place in Manchester.
She was born on February 9, 1958 in Concord, daughter of the late Kenneth and Theo B. (Hatch) Stockman. Carol was educated in the local schools earning her diploma from Dublin Christian Academy.
Carol was a 40 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she held multiple offices in both the James Farrington Pleiades #7 in Rochester serving as Worthy Matron 7 times, as well as the Mizpah Eunice #30 of Charlestown. From 1999-2000 she held the title of Worthy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of New Hampshire Order of the Eastern Star, presiding over the Spirit of America session.
She was an avid Nascar Fan, never missing a race, she especially enjoyed watching Robby Gordon on race day. She also enjoyed many years of camping while traveling about New England and the Canadian Provinces making many lasting friendships. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding and would have loved knowing her saddle was donated to help provide riding therapy for special needs children. Carol worked for many years in the office at Epsom Family Health and other office positions before her retirement.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Marcia Stockman in 2023. and former Husband Wayne Bartlett.
She is survived by a niece, Victoria Best and a nephew, Andrew Hodgins as well as her friend Richard Fortier.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday September 6, 2024 from 5PM-6PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway, EPSOM. An Eastern Star service will be held in the funeral home beginning at 6PM.
