PITTSFIELD - Mrs. Beverly H. (Joy) Price, 76, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a period of declining health. Born in Concord, Beverly was the daughter of the late Calvin and Gladys (Fifield) Joy. She was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield. In earlier years, Beverly worked in the local mills and also as an apple picker. She later remained home and raised her family and became a long-time babysitter for many local families. She enjoyed traveling with her sister, Grace, horseback riding, camping, and especially spending time with her large extended family. Beverly was predeceased by her husband, Donald L. Price and her siblings, Doris Gerlack, Lorraine Joy, Naomi Hodgdon, Grace Locke, Helen Davis, Henry Joy and Kevin Joy, who passed away just one day before her. She is survived by her children: Rose Miller, Donald Price, Jr., Mark Price and Michael Price. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 12th at 1 P.M. in Floral Park Cemetery in Pittsfield.
